Be part of my New Choreography Course “Isis”!
I’m the co-producer of the theatrical production Belly Dance Stories. On Sunday, June 30th we will be presenting our third show called “The Myth of the Feminine”.
In our upcoming theater production, we invite you, the dancers, to reflect on how “femininity” has played a role in our life, and to share our experiences through dance and storytelling!
I’ll be creating a group choreography called “Isis” for this theatrical production.
What is it about?
In this "Isis" wings choreography course, we will reflect through movement how the representations of Ancient goddesses like Isis have shaped our understanding of the feminine. The costumes will be emulating the aesthetics of Ancient Egyptian Mythology to create a powerful visual for our audience.
How does it work?
Keep in mind that choreography requires teamwork, consistency and discipline. We will be meeting for 16 weeks to create this majestic performance. We will meet on Tuesdays at 8:30pm starting March 5th until June 25th. The final performance will be on Sunday, June 30th at the Sandrell Rivers Theater.
What’s the cost?
The cost of the choreography course is $280 for 16 classes.
*There will be an additional payment for the costume of $300 (payment will be split in two of $150). You will receive a custom made belly dance costume that could be used for future group and solo performances.
When and where will the performance be?
The performance will take place at the Sandrell Rivers Theater. The Sandrell Rivers Theater is managed & operated by Fantasy Theatre Factory, one of Florida's most venerated cultural institutions. The performance will be part of the Belly Dance Stories Production on Sunday, June 30th at 7:00pm.
