SHAHRZAD RETURNS TO MIAMI

Join us for two days of immersive workshops designed to sharpen your skills, challenge your technique, and bring new inspiration to your dance. From dynamic Saidi combinations and layered shimmies and isolations, to veil entrances, mejance exploration, and dance conditioning, this intensive will give you tools you can immediately use in class, rehearsal, and performance.

Workshop Schedule​

Saturday, June 6th. 11:30am-1:30pm | Saidi Combinations (2hrs)

​

Step up your Saidi skills with this fun technique and combo workshop! Shahrzad will be introducing new and interesting ways to combine challenging assaya moves, traditional Saidi steps, and hipwork to create a variety of combinations for practice and performance. 

 

Saturday, June 6th, 2:30pm-4:30pm | Shimmies & Isolations (2hrs)

 

In this workshop Shahrzad will share her unique approach to isolations and shimmies of the hips, chest, and belly, breaking down movements into their anatomical details and then building them into challenging drills and combinations.
 

Sunday, June 7th | 11:30am-2:30pm

Veil Entrances to Classics & Dance Conditioning Lecture (3hrs)

Learn Shahrzad’s signature veil moves and practice combinations with a variety of our go-to ‘Mis en scene’ aka entrance songs. Walk away with a variety of dynamic and exciting ways to use the veil and make a stunning entrance to any show.
